The two events that opened this fortnight have now run. The AI at Work workshop in Brockenhurst and the CIPFA Wessex Conference in Winchester both concluded before this edition lands. What remains is a solid run of activity: the Microsoft Cloud South Coast User Group returns on 7 July at the Ageas Bowl, Women in Tech Hampshire follows the next day with a panel on female leadership in tech, and the University of Southampton's five-day geospatial AI summer school opens on 13 July. Later in the month, the Southampton FAIR to AI Ready Data workshop offers a rare free, practitioner-focused session on AI-readiness for physical sciences data. Further ahead, the British Science Festival arrives in Southampton on 16 September, bringing roughly 100 free events including a dedicated "AI: Friend or Fraud?" award lecture - the full programme drops in early July and will get a fuller preview in Issue 19.
